Stay in a luxury adult-only camping pod or yurt just 3 miles from York. A convenient toilet and shower block is a short walk away and all amenities and bedding are provided, although you do need to bring your own towels. On-site you’ll find laundry facilities, a farm shop and a cafe that can supply a takeaway breakfast. With a bus stop on-site with regular services to the city, you can easily get around without relying on a car. The pods are dog-friendly.
#2 Swaledale Yurts
Right in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, stunning scenery and a beautiful waterfall provide the backdrop for Swaledale’s 5 yurts. These colourful Mongolian yurts have all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay with your partner, friends or family. There is also a hot tub on site which can be hired for private use and a newly renovated and nicely decorated barn where you can cook meals.
#3 Yapham Holds Farmhouse
A great adults-only site that has both pods and bell tents to hire – out of the 2 I think the bell tent offers the best experience! The tent is comfortable and has a wood-burning stove and a TV with a DVD player. Close to York and a 1-hour drive to the seaside.
