1. Tour the vineyards on an electric bike

The UK Electric Bike Centre offer a number of self-guided and guided tours – this is one of the best things to do in Kent for couples. There are 3 tours available. The Brewery Route (£45 pp) and the Garden of England Route (£45 pp) are both self-guided. Or, for something more memorable, join their Vineyard tour (£190 pp), which includes cycling, a vineyard tour, wine tasting and lunch.

2. Explore Canterbury Cathedral

No visit to Kent is complete without a visit to Canterbury Cathedral, the perfect outing for any couple that appreciates history and architecture. Make the most of your visit by joining one of their many tours or timing your visit with an exhibition.

3. Catch a film in luxury

The Showcase Cinema De Lux Bluewater is not like an average cinema. You can expect lush, feet reclining, heated seats! Grab a drink and some food in one of their bars, then get cosy together to watch a film in style. It makes for a great date night in Kent.

4. Travel the Rother Valley by Steam Train

6. Head Underground in Ramsgate tunnels

If you’re looking for unusual things to do in Kent for couples, the Ramsgate Tunnels is a great choice. They are the UK’s largest network of civilian wartime tunnels and are really interesting to see. Join a tour, then grab coffee and cake in the Ramsgate Tunnels tea rooms.

7. Spend the day at the historic Maidstone

Maidstone is one of the best places to spend a day in Kent and is perfect for couples. Known as the events capital of Kent, always check to see if there’s something happening that coincides with your visit. Maidstone has plenty of shops and restaurants to explore but is also home to Leeds Castle and the Maidstone Museum.

Kent has many beautiful beaches; one of the best for couples is Stone Bay in Broadstairs. It’s a quiet and picturesque spot, enclosed by stunning white cliffs. Enjoy fish and chips on the beach, refreshing swims or enjoy exploring one of the make rock pools.

This is one of my favourite quirky things to do in Kent for couples – with a series of underground passages covered in intricate mosaics made with 4.6 million shells.

White Cliffs of Dover

13. Hike along the White Cliffs of Dover to South Foreland Lighthouse

Start at the visitor’s centre car park and take the trail along the world-famous white cliffs of Dover. At the end of the trail, you’ll reach the South Foreland Lighthouse before looping back to the start. The entire hike is 2 miles and has some lovely Kent countryside views. 14. Get up close and friendly with an owl

If you love animals, then the Kent Owl Academy is a fun thing to do in Kent for couples. The Owl Encounter (£80 for a couple) is a memorable experience that allows you to meet a variety of owls, learn about them and have a chance to handle them.
