#2 Cycling around the Sea of Galilee

The Sea of Galilee has a number of hiking and cycling trails to be enjoyed. The most popular being the trail that circumnavigates the entire lake, a total of 35 miles. For those who like a competition, you could also join the annual Galilee cycling races.

#3 Freediving in Eilat

Eilat’s warm temperatures and colourful shore corals make it the ideal location to learn how to freedive. You can join a beginners freediving course with Alon Rivkind….the Israel freediving record holder.

#4 Canyoning in Israel

Fancy something a bit more exciting than just rock climbing? Then join a canyoning tour which combines climbing, scrambling and generally getting wet.

#5 Jumping out of a plane

Paradiv claim they have one of the most beautiful skydiving spots in the world! Jumpers will get views of the ocean, desert and green mountains…..as long as you remember to keep your eyes open on the way down!

#6 Diving with sharks

Each year hundreds of shark migrate to the Hadera area. Experts believe they are attracted to the warm waters that are pumped out by the power plant. On a busy day, you can spot them from the surface in a boat or kayak. To get really up close and personal though you should try diving with the sharks!

#7 Abseiling in the salt caves

Israel has some really exciting abseiling routes. You could join a nighttime abseil or for something really unique, check out the Sodom Salt Caves and its menacing 80metre abseil!
